How I Made Money Online Before I Felt “Qualified”
There’s a lie that’s been floating around the internet for years.
You’ve probably heard it.
Maybe even believed it.
👉 “You can’t charge for anything unless you’re an expert.”
And while it sounds like good advice… it’s actually holding a lot of good people back.
Because what even is an expert?
Someone with a degree?
A certification?
Someone with 10,000 hours logged?
Or just someone who’s a few steps ahead?
Let’s get something straight:
If you wait until the world deems you an “expert,”
you’ll miss the opportunity that’s already in front of you:
💡 Helping people with what you do know.
And yes — getting paid for it.
Back when I first started online, I didn’t have a huge audience.
No million-dollar case studies.
No fancy title.
But I still made money.
And I did it using three simple frameworks that anyone can apply — without ever claiming to be a guru.
💰 Option 1: Become a Curator
You don’t have to reinvent the wheel to get paid.
You can get paid to organize information that already exists.
I had a friend who wanted to do sales coaching — but all of his knowledge came from Jeremy Miner and Sandler.
He felt like he couldn’t charge for it.
So I told him: Become the curator.
-
Collect the best material
-
Help people apply it
-
Charge for how to use it, not what it is
You’re not stealing. You’re streamlining.
🔗 Option 2: Be the Connector
My first paid community? I didn’t have all the answers.
But I knew people who did.
I brought them together in one room.
And I charged for the connection.
Because being the person who knows a guy is way more valuable than being the guy.
Whether it's a paid mastermind or a 1:1 intro that solves a problem — people will pay to skip the line and meet the right person.
🧰 Option 3: Sell Tools, Not Advice
Not everyone wants coaching.
Sometimes they just want:
-
The checklist
-
The call guide
-
The script
-
The system
That’s what I did with my [6-Figure Call Guide] and [Digital Entrepreneur Toolbox].
People don’t care that I didn’t invent sales.
They just care that I made it easier to implement.
That’s what they’re paying for: simplicity.
So no, you don’t need to be an “expert.”
You just need to be helpful.
-
Curate the gold.
-
Connect the right people.
-
Package tools that solve real problems.
And always — give credit where credit’s due.
Because this game?
It’s not about credentials.
It’s about contribution.
P.S. If you want to see exactly how I turn curated content into cash, the Digital Entrepreneur Toolbox is your next step.
It’s loaded with swipe files, call guides, and playbooks — all designed to help you grow without the guru complex.
