The Two Tools You Need to Grow Your Business in 10 Hours a Week
You have 10 hours a week to grow your business.
There are endless ways to spend that time, but if you choose wrong, those hours disappear with nothing to show for it.
This is the reality many online entrepreneurs face every week.
What should you focus on for the highest ROI?
You only need two tools. And the best part? They won’t even take up your full 10 hours.
- Long-form content (YouTube or a Podcast)
- A Newsletter
These two assets build authority, attract the right audience, and convert them into paying clients—all while keeping your workload manageable.
The Three Stages of Growing an Online Business
- Attention – Attracting the right audience
- Lead Capture – Turning that audience into subscribers
- Conversion – Giving them a way to work with you
Step 1: Get Attention (Without Wasting Time)
There are countless ways to attract attention, but not all of them are worth the effort. You could chase trends on TikTok, but the staying power just isn’t there. Short-form content fades fast.
Long-form content, like YouTube or podcasts, stays relevant for years. It’s searchable, evergreen, and continues working for you long after you hit publish.
A podcast, for example, lets people listen while driving or working. My show, The Elevated Entrepreneur, is available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, making it easy for my audience to tune in whenever they have time.
That same content is also available on YouTube, where it reaches an entirely different audience. YouTube is now the most-watched platform on TVs, surpassing even Netflix. The reach is undeniable.

If you haven’t subscribed to my podcast yet, you should check it out. And if you find it valuable, leaving a rating would mean a lot.
Step 2: Capture and Convert with a Newsletter
Attention alone won’t grow your business. You need a way to capture and nurture your audience. That’s where your newsletter comes in.
A newsletter can take many forms, but at its core, it should provide value. I personally use mine to share insights and lessons that help people grow their business—for free.
Your newsletter acts as a lead magnet, turning attention into deeper engagement.
It’s important not to turn your newsletter into a non-stop pitch. Deliver value, and when it makes sense, naturally mention your offer as a next step. People will click. There’s no need to overcomplicate it.
A Strategy That Works in Just a Few Hours a Week
This entire system—creating long-form content and writing a newsletter—takes me about four hours a week. It’s simple, effective, and most importantly, sustainable.
And the best part? I actually enjoy it.
